I just created my first bona fide several-page-long comic and am delighted with the fun I had making it. I was worried about how I could share it online but the Facebook option created a superb presentation. I was surprized.

For my blog I wanted a separate online presence so I used a folder for the comic in PICASA and that gave me a slide show: voila!

Check it out: Chasing the Tide

The irony is that I couldn't find an excuse to say anything in caption or balloon...

But i can see so many wonderful uses for Comic Life so that I am set to CARTOONIZE big time.

Is there a way to insert symbols - the quarter note especially - into text balloons?

Ever since I went to patch 2.2, I cannot import any artwork. It crashes. One time, it crashed just by going to the explorer section for the artwork.

I even restored an older version, which I've only had since March... and it still crashed.

Not sure what to do... but this is very annoying and I have deadlines. I've got paying gigs and this is not helping.

Also, side question, any way of disabling sound effects?

Hello, I just downloaded the free trail of comic life 2 and a friend just bought the program. We both have become quite adapt at using comic life's software and were very excited to see that 2 had been released for windows.

But besides the issues of crashing and it slowing down, (among other things) it seems that there is a few features from comic life 1, that are either hard to find, or removed completely.

We can't seem the edit the panel boxes shapes as much as we could in 1. In 2, it only allows you to edit four corners, but in 1 we could edit 8 points on the panel, and even change that to 3 if we needed to. Has this feature been removed?

Also, I notice we can make and place shapes in the new comic life. But can we place pictures inside the shapes?

I like the look of the new version but am having trouble getting up and running:

First off, I'm loving the versitility of this new version, and have installed this on my desktop and one of three laptops, all of which run Windows XP.

While playing with both desktop and laptop computers, I've run accross an issue, when running both Comic Life 2.2 (Build 2) and Adobe Reader, versions 9 and 10.

I love that exporting to PDF has been added this version, as I prefer exporting my comics to PDF format, but it seems that whenever I run Adobe Reader, [versions 9 and 10] while Comic Life is running, Adobe Reader causes Comic Life 2.2 (Build 2) to freeze, and be non-responsive, causing the program to white-screen, and me to force close the application. Aside from this, I haven't noticed any other issues, running this program.

However, since I am posting this, my other question is, how do I load a stylesheet that was created in Comic Life 1.36 (Build 71) to Comic Life 2.2 (Build 2)? I am having a little bit of trouble finding this option, since I was able to load my custom-made templates into Comic Life 2, after exploring the program's file directory.

I'm sure as rain that this option will be under my nose, when Kramy [who, by the way has been very helpful!] gets back to me.

Kramy, might it possible to have a settings window, akin to Export to Image(s) for PDF exporting? Perhaps a means of putting in internal tags for who authored the comic for a more professional finish??

I would love to see this added in a future version.
